New, modular format of philotherapeutic training
The intense and fragmented way of life that we all live has led to changes in the traditional forms and formats of psychotherapeutic training so that they might respond more effectively to the needs of trainees to start their counseling work with clients quickly, whilst at the same time continue to undergo a rigorous, quality training program in the successive areas of their counseling orientation. In philotherapy and integrative psychotherapy, the IPH has adopted such a new format, so that, in addition to our standard 4-year long training for full-fledged philotherapists and integrative psychotherapists, we are now able to offer a new modular structure of training that will suit those who wish to become counselors and therapists, but need more organizational and financial flexibility.
The new program is ‘broken down’ into trimesters, so that the first partial sertificate for the beginners forms of counseling is earned already after the first two trimesters (6 months of training) under supervision.
The successive partial sertificates are then received after each 6 months of training. This allows the training counselors to gain practical experience during their training, to work with selected cases within the limits of the methodology studied, throughout the process whereby they will ultimately complete a full certification.
This type of training is less stressful organizationally and financially, because it allows a segmentation of the training, pauses between the segments if need be, monthly payments, and thus allows the training counselors far greater flexibility. Moreover, the constant contact with others in the IPH and participation in our groups and discussion forums even during potential breaks in the training cycle facilitates a de facto continuity of training.
The program consists of 24 trimestral units, and after each two units the participant receives a partial philotherapeutic/integrative psychotherapeutic certificate.
After completing the 4 years of training a full certificate is received.
